Terms of Service
Last updated: 20 April 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your access to and use of the Tetherway website at tetherway.com (the "Site") and any purchases you make through it. "Tetherway", "we", "us" and "our" refer to the sole trader operating Tetherway. By using the Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. Please read them carefully — they include important information about your rights, our liability, and how disputes are handled.

1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to place an order on the Site. By using the Site, you confirm that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.

2. Our products
We aim to represent our products accurately, but colours and minor details may vary between screens and in the physical product. Descriptions, specifications and prices may change at any time without notice. We reserve the right to limit quantities and to discontinue any product at our discretion.

3. Orders and acceptance
When you submit an order, you are making an offer to buy. A contract is formed only once we confirm acceptance of your order by email (the "Order Confirmation"). We may decline or cancel an order — for example, if an item is out of stock, if there is a pricing error, or if we suspect fraud — and we will refund any payment taken. You warrant that your purchases are for personal or household use, not for commercial resale.

4. Prices and payment
All prices are in GBP (£) and are inclusive of any applicable UK VAT. Shipping is calculated at checkout based on your postcode. Promotional prices apply only to orders placed while the promotion is live. You warrant that the payment details you provide are accurate and that you are authorised to use the payment method. Payment is processed securely by our payment providers; we do not store full card details.

5. Shipping and delivery
Delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed. We typically dispatch within 1–2 working days and most UK orders arrive in 3–7 working days. Risk of loss passes to you when the carrier delivers the parcel to your nominated address. We are not liable for delays caused by carriers, weather, or events outside our reasonable control. Full detail is on our shipping page.

6. Returns and your UK consumer rights
You have a 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, starting from the day after delivery. We extend this to a 30-day return window for any reason. Return postage for unwanted items is your responsibility unless the item is faulty, damaged, or misdescribed — in which case we cover return costs and provide a full refund or replacement under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Full detail on our returns page.

Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law.

7. Intellectual property
The Site and its content — including text, product photography, logos, the Tetherway name, graphics, and the selection and arrangement of all of the above — are owned by Tetherway or its licensors and are protected by UK and international copyright and trademark law. You may view and interact with the Site for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, republish, or distribute any part of the Site without our prior written permission.

8. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Site in any unlawful way, to infringe the rights of others, to transmit false or misleading information, to send unsolicited marketing, to impersonate any person, to upload viruses or malicious code, or to interfere with the operation or security of the Site. You may not scrape, resell, or sub-license Site content, or bypass any technical measures restricting access.

9. Automated agents
Automated agents, bots and AI tools that access the Site must identify themselves truthfully (including in the HTTP user-agent string), must not mimic human behaviour to evade detection, must not bypass CAPTCHAs or other anti-automation measures, and must respect the directives in robots.txt. We may restrict or block agents at our discretion.

10. Third-party links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for their content, policies or practices. Accessing third-party sites is at your own risk.

11. Feedback and reviews
If you submit reviews, suggestions or other feedback, you grant Tetherway a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use, reproduce and display that content in connection with the Site and our marketing. You confirm that the feedback is your own and does not infringe any third-party rights, and you have disclosed any compensation received in connection with it.

12. Errors and inaccuracies
The Site may occasionally contain typographical errors, inaccuracies, or omissions relating to descriptions, pricing, promotions, or availability. We reserve the right to correct any such errors and to cancel affected orders, even after the order has been submitted.

13. Privacy
Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect, why, and your rights under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

14. Disclaimer
The Tetherway harness is designed for everyday walking use. It is not a training aid, not a seatbelt or vehicle restraint, not a lifting device, and not a substitute for supervision. Always use with a properly fitted lead and appropriate supervision. We do not accept liability for injury, loss, or damage resulting from misuse, from use beyond the product's intended purpose, or from use of a damaged or improperly fitted harness. Inspect the harness before each walk.

15. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under UK law. Subject to that, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you in connection with any product or order is limited to the amount you paid for the affected product. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit, loss of data, or losses that were not reasonably foreseeable.

16. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Tetherway from any losses, damages or costs arising from your breach of these Terms, your violation of any law, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always available on this page with the "Last updated" date above. For material changes that affect your rights, we will take reasonable steps to notify you. Your continued use of the Site after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

18. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site at our discretion if you breach these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including Intellectual Property, Limitation of Liability, Indemnity, Governing Law, and this section — will continue to apply.

19. Severability and waiver
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver of that right.

20. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from or in connection with them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except that consumers resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland may bring proceedings in their local courts.
